Top Closet Designs
You should be able to make the most of every inch of your closet space for organization and convenience. No matter how much closet space you have, there are plenty of great closet designs to choose from that will bring your room to life. Here are five of the top closet design trends you need to add to your closet system.
Internal Lights
There are a lot of ways you can bring more light into your closet. Pendant lights are still popular, or you can install small spotlights on the ceiling to evenly brighten up the entire space. Floor lighting is another great way to illuminate the inside of your closet to further show off your clothes and shoes. Fluorescent lighting is usually the go-to option here.

Dressing Table
A dressing table is a great place to store accessories like makeup. It can take up a lot of room in a bedroom though, so it makes a lot more sense have a dressing table inside your closet, as long as you have a roomy walk-in closet. These are like bathroom islands weâre seeing in master baths.
Natural Elements
If you have natural light in your closet, you should take advantage of it. As well as providing you with the best light possible to choose clothing and look your best, natural light gives you a great excuse to add plants and flowers. Natural elements like these are very popular in home design right now, and this includes inside your closet. If you donât have natural light, you can choose plants that thrive in darker conditions or even go for other natural elements like stone or wood.

When it comes to colors, earth tones like greens, blues, and browns are popular as opposed to the usual whites and grays. The term âbiophiliaâ is also trending. Biophilia is defined as a human tendency to be closer to nature.
Pivot Doors
Pivot doors make a strong statement, and they tend to hang better than hinged doors because their heavier weight doesnât pull them down. They can also save you a few inches of space when the door is opened compared to those that use a standard hinge design.
Drawers
Homeowners are minimizing the amount of furniture in the master bedroom, so drawers are becoming a must in closets for more out-of-sight storage. A drawer box with dovetail corner joints, high-quality chrome slides, and full extension are a must.
