For Someone Who’s Ready to Remodel, What Can They Do to Prepare Meeting a Designer Like Yourself?
From a design standpoint, it’s always great to have remodeling inspiration photos you find from sites like Houzz, Instagram, or Pinterest when we’re having that initial conversation about your design. It helps us get to know you and your design aesthetic, so as we’re having that conversation about your space, we can help guide you into a custom look based on your inspiration photos. It’s a huge help for the designers since it helps you relay what you’ve been seeing in your mind. Some people know what they want but can’t properly explain it. Remodeling inspiration photos are a big help to get the creative juices flowing.
Also, when prepping for a remodel, come with the mindset of having fun with your project. Too many times, everyone gets a little too serious about it. Work with your designer, find someone you mesh well with, and bounce ideas off of them. Allow yourself to not take it too seriously. It’ll open up a world of design you might not have thought about, and that’ll just help improve your space even more.
