Are they licensed? Do they have credible reviews? Are they a contractor licensed in the state you are living in to preform things like moving plumbing or electrical? Even demolition on a project usually can’t start without a permit. Are they insured? Do they use sub-contractors?
Picking your contractor is one of the most critical aspects of any remodel or build. A handyman usually doesn’t have the credentials to do things needed to produce a full-scale remodel. Once the budget has been established, most companies like us will ask for some type of retainer agreement to move on the next phase of planning and design. This is where the fun starts! We offer a concierge design service with help from layouts to final selections such as cabinet colors, countertops, and tile selections down to what type of light switch covers to use. Every detail must smoothly come together so that the project is not overwhelming at completion. We love the details.
