This Laundry Room Gets a Good Rinse
Usually, it’s the kitchen or master bathroom you want to hand off to a designer to design a much more eye-catching and unique space that would rival anything your neighbors have. This isn’t the case for this particular Lakewood Ranch home. The homeowners decided it was their laundry room that they wanted to completely redesign from the basic dull laundry room look into a minty, almost retro-looking space. This is how you make washing your clothes exciting.
Colors are all the Rage
Did you know that greens, blues, and grays are some of the most popular laundry room cabinet colors, according to Houzz? To emphasize, it’s the perfect way to give an otherwise overlooked and forgotten space a fresh splash of color.
Green specifically is one of most beloved colors for home renovations since it’s the color of nature, and bringing nature inside is a hot trend this year. It’s also peaceful and calming and can fit every style and décor theme, as long as you choose the shade right.

The Retro Look
Gratifying Green is the minty color of the custom-made soft-close cabinets in this Lakewood Ranch laundry room upgrade. Additionally, the countertop comes from a quartz remnant we chose with the homeowner, and the new floor is a black and white checkered glaze ceramic.
We relocated the existing dryer receptacle from above the washing machine to beside it and subsequently added a stainless steel sink and polished nickel appliances and fixtures. The homeowner added another touch of creativity with the new wallpaper that they chose themselves.
